Ted Ed 와 TED Talk 및 YouTube 에서 강연 영상을 시청 후, 그 내용을 바탕으로 토론수업이 진행됩니다.

General Topic 교재보기 | General Topic | General Topic LESSON OVERVIEW In this lesson, students will learn advanced verbs, discuss different types of topics and do an English class project. LEAD-IN The worksheet starts with a brainstorming activity for the whole class. Students have to make a list of what they know. Then, they will be given time to look at the list and discuss about it. The students have to read a few sentences and match verbs in bold to correct meanings. In this task, they will learn verbs. A task will be given for them to decide whether the statements are true or false. Before watching the second part of the video, students have to use their own knowledge and ideas to choose correct options to complete sentences about the topic. The video will then be play for them to verify their answers. Finally, a short discussion will be held to discuss the ideas in the video. ENGLISH CLASS PROJECT The lesson plan ends with an English class project. Students have to invent a brand name and a slogan, and design a label for their product. The activity can also be done. |

Technology Topic 교재보기 | Technology Topic | Technology Topic LESSON OVERVIEW In this lesson, students will watch a short TED talk and discuss about it. The worksheet kicks off with a warm-up speaking task to introduce the topic in which students must discuss which professions have no future and which are on the rise. As the TED talk is not that long this worksheet has two listening comprehension tasks: one for general understanding of the speech and second to practice listening for details. What follows is a short vocabulary gap-filling exercise to practice a few new words from the speech. The next stage has some speaking points to talk over the content of the speech. Finally, students will have to prepare and hold a debate on the key question. Discussion & Vocabulary The in-class part is all about speaking. First, students discuss the video and express their opinion about video. The next two exercises focus on pre-teaching the vocabulary students will hear in an interview in the second part of the lesson. Then, they see them used incorrectly and have to correct the mistakes. |

PRE-CLASS ACTIVITIES The pre-class worksheet starts with a vocabulary task. Students read a few sentences and need to complete them with the correct adjectives for art and design. Next, they watch a video about topic. Students have to do two exercises. First, they need to watch just the first part and complete notes about the video. Then, they watch the second part and answer some comprehension questions. IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES Discussion & Vocabulary The in-class part is all about speaking. First, students discuss the video and express their opinion about video. To give students more adjectives that they can use in the last task of the lesson plan, we also prepared a list of antonyms of the adjectives that students are supposed to learn before the class. Therefore, they have to match adjectives from two boxes to create the pairs of antonyms. Before the speaking part, in the next activity they choose five adjectives from the lesson and write sentences with them which relate to topic. |

After completing the task with their own guesses, they should watch the first part of the video and check their answers by finding right words in the video. Next, students move to a listening comprehension activity. They need to watch the whole video and answer questions. IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES First of all, during the class, students need to discuss the speaker’s ideas. They get questions about their opinions. These questions should not only check whether they have done their homework, but also engage them further in the topic. |
